Due to attacks by JCB type machines on a number of UK high security Companies, Simtec Solutions were asked to design an anti-ram wall strong enough to stop a direct attack by tele-handlers (JCB type machines).
Simtec designed a system known as Barricade which is constructed of heavy duty columns and steel open box beams. The dynamics of the system are based on the angle of the support struts and the depth and strength of the concrete foundations.
There are a number of specially engineered design techniques that gives the system a PAS 68 V/7500(N3)/80/90:0/0 Government rating.
The patented Barricade system was 100% successful in preventing the penetration of both JCB vehicles at their maximum speed and also a 7.5 tonne truck at 50mph.
